The Face Shop: Face Mask Review
The Face Shop was introduced to me by a friend who raved about their products, and a few weeks afterwards one of my close family friends referred it to me as well. I love skin care, and finding new products so I decided that this store was probably one that I should check out for myself, and try a few products. The first product I decided to try were their face masks.
The Face Shop is a south Korean brand, and has many products that expand beyond skin care with items that include lotions, make up items, and exclusive items for men. When I first visited the store there was a sale on face masks, which are originally $2 each, but on that specific day they were 20 for $10, so I was basically paying half the price for each.
There were so many different options to choose from in regards to their face masks to the point where it was a little overwhelming, but I decided to try one of everything. Each face mask did something different such as firming, refreshing or brightening the face, which seemed pretty cool. The type of face masks included bamboo, honey, green tea, cucumber, lemon, and kelp, but I assure you there were many more!
After cleansing your face, and using a toner when opening the packaging there is no smell within. All that is within the packaging is a face cloth drenched in serum that you take out, and unfold, revealing the shape of a face with holes cut out for your eyes, nose, and mouth. You leave the mask on for 10-12 minutes, and afterwards you pat down the left over serum into your face.
I recommend using the product before bed, since that is when your skin is most absorbent. I like to use it lying down, and scrolling through my phone because it is extremely relaxing. The product is refreshing against your skin, and I was honestly surprised that there were no odour, because initially I was reluctant to buy certain face masks, because I was afraid it would smell weird.
I highly recommend the face mask, due to the fact that it's inexpensive, doesn't smell, and actually works well. I feel my skin feel instantly hydrated, and nice. You may even steam your face before putting the mask on in order to open up your pores. This would probably absorb even more of the serum. If you're interested in purchasing some or browsing their wide variety of masks visit their website HERE!
