Niagara Falls is one of my favourite places to visit of all time. From the amazing view of those glistening and misty falls to the beautiful scenic parks hidden behind all the mainstream tourist attraction i've always loved this place, and in fact, consider it a second home of mine. Take a look at my to-do list when visiting Niagara!
The Falls
This one is obviously obvious. You're definitely going to want to check out the beautiful Horseshoe waterfalls. It's incredible to see in person, and doesn't compare to any picture. Whenever I visit i'm mesmerized by how pretty it is. I'd recommend doing the Adventure pass that they offer, because then you'll really get the full experience of the falls. One of my most treasured memorizes from visiting this place was when I first went on the maid of the mist, which brought you up to the falls, and the journey behind the falls. It's definitely worth the money. You'll even get a free bus pass to visit the places all around Niagara if you're lacking a car.
The Parks
There are so many amazing parks surrounding Niagara that people don't take advantage of, because it's masked behind the craziness of the main tourist attractions, but it truly is so peaceful to visit their huge, and beautiful parks. My favourite parks are on the way to the butterfly conservatory. You really can just stumble upon any parks when you drive along the length of the falls. I remember being young and bringing my bike there every vacation we had in Niagara Falls, and having so much fun!
The Food
Niagara has most of my favourite restaurants. I literally love going there, because I never know what i'm going to have for my next meal. My favourite place to eat in Niagara is at the Famous in the Fallsview Casino. It's a family friendly place that serves the most amazing fries! It's literally in my top 5 places to get fries. Another great place to eat is the Rainbow Room by the falls. They had the most amazing steak and blue cheese dressing.
The Hill
Clifton Hills is obviously your number one destination for fun, but with all the different attractions going on around there it can get overwhelming to choose where to go! My favourite side of Clifton hill is the side with the Canadian Midway. It has all my favourite attractions, because i'm not really someone who's a fan of haunted houses, most of which are on the other side. There's even a Clifton Hill Fun Pass that you can get for around $25 that'll get you most of the attractions on that side including the Movieland Wax Museum, the Skywheel, and Mini golf! Another one of my favourite attractions on this side of the hill that isn't included is the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum. It's so much fun, and has the weirdest things inside of it that are creep/gross/fascinating! Definitely worth checking out.
