TravelTO: Al Ain, Miracle Garden & Dubai Stores/Restaurants
Hey everyone! I've decided to share #MyDubai experience with you all in three parts, and this is sadly the last part! Dubai has been a place i've always wanted to visit every since I read about the construction of the Burj Khalifa when I was probably about 8 years old, and afterwards in my first year of high school where I drew the Burj Al Arab for an art project. I've always been drawn to the destination, and I never imagined I would have the opportunity of actually visiting!
The trip was very spontaneous, and I only got 4 days out of Dubai, but those 4 days only made me want to return, which i'm in fact already planning on doing. I got to visit many malls, and a few of the actual touristy destinations. Unfortunately, no beach, but i'll save that for next time.
Al Ain
Al Ain is a place that's a little further away from Dubai's city life. There were no tall buildings, but instead huge mountains, and beautiful scenery. I've been born and raised a city boy. I love cities with tall buildings, exciting nightlife, and just a non-stop vibe, but visiting areas such as Al Ain honestly feels like a breath of fresh air.
The mountain tops offered an amazing view where you can see both desert, and patches of green, which from I understand is what draws tourists to the area. It's also free to visit, and a cute spot to have lunch!
The Miracle Garden
I was able to visit the flower garden at night, and it was gorgeous. So many different arrangements of flowers, and at night everything was lit up. It was really beautiful to see.
Favourite Stores/Restaurants:
Dubai was filled with an overwhelming amount of stores, which were open till the late hours of the day. My travel agent actually informed me that it was basically being referred to as the city that never sleeps. Shopping wasn't really an interest of mine, because I never shop unless there's something I really need but here were my favourite shops/restaurants!:
Juice World:
Juice World was an awesome juice place. They were made from fresh fruit, and offered a wide variety of beverages, as well as snacks. My favourite thing to order was the Strawberry and Watermelon juice. I literally went back again just to get more! I'm so obsessed with it, and i'm gonna attempt to make some at home! The juices were really cheap, and they had an outdoor patio which is great especially at night. It was really cool too, because their display window had fruit arranged in different designs.
Splash:
Splash was the only store that I didn't recognize from Canada, and going inside definitely reminded me of an H&M. They had really cool, and interesting clothes that ranged from casual wear to more formal pieces. I bought a jean jacket at a great price, because I luckily visited during a sale period!
