The 1989 World Tour

October 2, 2015... or October 2, 1989. I had the amazing opportunity of attending the 1989 World Tour. I had been waiting this concert for nearly a year, and it did not disappoint. Take a look at my experience at the 1989 World Tour:

My friend and I bought our tickets in November of 2014, and patiently waited months for the concert. We're such fans of Taylor, especially the 1989 album. We'd listen to it every day when we'd drive to school, so we were just so excited to hear it all in person.

The concert started at 7 PM with Shawn Mendes opening, Vance Joy coming out at 7:45 PM, and Taylor Swift performing at 8:45 PM. We got to the venue around 7 o'clock and the crowd of people was huge. We didn't end up getting inside until around 7:30, and after lining up at the merchandise counter we didn't end up in our seats until around 7:50.

The merchandise I bought was her 1989 World Tour hat, also known as the 1989 dad hat. It was $30, and just a really memorable thing to have. I love hats anyways, so I know i'll be using it often. You can purchase it, along with all her other merchandise here!

The sold out venue fit 50,000 people at the Rogers Centre, and each one was wearing a cool wristband that lit up to the music. It was such an amazing piece to the concert that really made it stand out against other concerts i've attended. With each flash the whole venue lit up beautifully, and you could really see the 50,000 people that were in there with you. The stage was also a really cool addition to the tour, because it would move, lift and circle around the crowd so regardless of where you were seated - you got a good look of her.

My favourite performance include:

  • I Know Places
  • We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
  • Blank Space
  • Bad Blood
  • Clean
  • Shake It Off
  • How To Get The Girl

If you ever have the opportunity to see Taylor Swift in concert then i'd strongly recommend that you go. She really puts on an impressive show with great productions for each song! More 1989 World Tour posts coming soon!
