Travel-TO: APPS (+ New YouTube Video)

Travel-TO is a travel series i've started where I tell you some things i've learned from experience about travelling. Travel-TO is a play on the phrase "travel to," and my blog name JohnFTO. Travelling can get boring, especially if you're going to be on a plane or a bus ride for a while. Here are some of my favourite apps that keep me busy!

Everyone these days typically has a cellphone of some kind, or a music playing device. For this post i'll be concentrating on my favourite apps for my iPad mini. My iPad mini is my favourite thing to bring with me wherever i'm going. It's lightweight, and compact so it's great. I've also owned the second version of the iPad, but in my opinion the iPad mini is perfect. Most of these apps are free as well!

Apps that need WiFi:

Flipboard: Flipboard is basically an app that carries a lot of different articles from popular magazines, and blogs around the internet. You can choose any category you want, and it'll have tons of stuff that you can read. Some of my favourites are Celebrity News, Mens Style, and Skin Care!

Twitter: It's fun to connect with people around the world, find out what others are doing sometimes. Be sure to follow me @johnfto!

Padagram: An awesome app for iPad, which is basically a substitute for Instagram, since Instagram is only available as an iPhone app. It's a great way to see instagram photos on a bigger scale. I don't normally use this app, in all honesty, when I browse Instagram, because I find that my phone is much more convenient, but when I do use it I love being able to see the photos on a bigger screen.

YouTube: YouTube is always fun to browse when you're bored. Some of my favourite YouTubers are Jenna Marbles, Joey Gatto, Marianna Hewitt, and Claudia Sulewski. I've also created a YouTube channel for myself if you want to go ahead and check it out HERE. I'll be posting vlogs, and any fun videos that I can think of from time to time, so I hope you enjoy the content on there, and check out my latest YouTube Video.

Kim Kardashian: Hollywood: This has been my favourite game for so long! I can't get enough of it. It's so fun, and addicting. I'm sure many people have tried it, and quit the game overtime, but I just can't get over it. I think the app was such an innovative way to reach another social media platform, which is why I admire Kim Kardashian so much for her business strategies. I think she's an amazing business woman, and this app supports that.

Spotify: Love Spotfiy - it has more songs you can think of, and you get to find out what other artists are interested in. I recently made a spotify account so be sure to take a look at my music taste on there! If you have the premium version you can listen to music without WiFi! Currently my favourite artists include the Weeknd, Tori Kelly, and my usual favourite of course, Beyoncé.

Apps that don't need WiFi:

iBooks:If your'e a reader like I am then you'll love the iBooks app. Of course, there's nothing like actually holding a book. But this is an easier way of taking books around with you. I'm currently reading Harry Potter, and the GoPro book, which I think is a great book if you really want to learn how to use your GoPro as they do on their official YouTube Channel.

Minecraft: Minecraft is such a fun game, which allows you to really get creative. It's so much fun, and I never realize how much time i've been using the app. The app is $7.99 on the app store, but it's totally worth it. I love both creative, and survival, but I find myself usually playing creative, because it's just more fun for myself to build, and create things with all of the items already there without having to look, and collect.

Videos: If you're ever bored you could always watch a movie. My favourite movie to watch when i'm travelling is Bridesmaids. It's hilarious! I also just recently got Jurassic Park, so i'm sure i'll be watching that as well, since it's probably my favourite movie of all time.
